A trip plan review. Not advice.

An Expedition Design Review is a limited review of the trip plan and information you provide. It includes a 45-minute video call and a written Expedition Readiness Report recording the observations, questions and actions arising from that Review.

The Review and Report are planning records. They are not advice, approval, certification, assurance, instruction or a guarantee of safety, readiness, completeness, suitability or any outcome.

You remain solely responsible for your route, timing, vehicle, equipment, party, permits, communications, fuel, water, weather decisions, emergency preparation and whether to depart, continue, alter or abandon the trip.

You must verify critical information with the responsible provider or authority. Routes, conditions, closures, forecasts, travel times, services, opening hours and third-party information can be incomplete, inaccurate or change without notice.

The Review is not guided travel, live navigation, emergency monitoring, rescue support or medical, legal, mechanical, financial or professional safety advice. Booking a Review does not create a duty for Breakstate to monitor or assist you during an expedition.

Breakstate promises to provide the booked 45-minute Review and the written Expedition Readiness Report described when you booked. If Breakstate fails to deliver either, you may choose another appointment or a refund of the Review fee.

You may email reasonable questions about the Report for 30 days after delivery. During that period, Breakstate will correct factual or reporting errors without charge and provide one reasonable follow-up review concerning the Plan originally reviewed.

The follow-up does not cover repeated review cycles or a materially different mission, route, vehicle, party or expedition. Those may require a new booking.

This promise concerns delivery and accuracy of the Review record. It does not promise a minimum number of findings, customer satisfaction, discovery of every risk or any expedition outcome.

The full fee is payable when paid booking is activated. You may reschedule or cancel more than 24 hours before the appointment for a replacement appointment or full refund. A cancellation made less than 24 hours before the appointment, or failure to attend, results in loss of the fee.

If Breakstate cancels, you may choose another appointment or a full refund. Breakstate may make another exception at its discretion without creating an obligation to do so. Read the versioned Cancellation Policy.

The Review is recorded and transcribed to prepare and quality-check the Report. The Review cannot proceed without the participant's express consent. Every additional participant must also consent before recording begins.

Breakstate asks you by email to accept the completed Report. The audio recording is scheduled for deletion 30 days after that acceptance. The transcript, final Report and related working notes may be retained as restricted business records for legal, operational and quality purposes.

The legal version accepted at booking continues to govern that booking. Breakstate may publish different terms for future bookings, but a later version does not reduce or replace the rights and obligations already attached to a confirmed booking.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Breakstate is not responsible for loss, damage, injury, delay, cost or other consequence arising from an expedition, reliance on a Review or Report, changing conditions, or third-party information or services. Nothing in these terms excludes a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
