Field References · New feature
Field Assistant only knows BreakState. The methodology. The nine modules. The field library. Past reviews. Aaron's field notes. Ask it what a trauma kit should carry for a solo Dalton Highway run and you get an answer grounded in the rulebook — not the internet.
How it will work
Type or speak a question about your kit, your route, your modules, your review. Whatever you're chewing on in the workshop or on the road.
The assistant searches the BreakState knowledge base — methodology, module standards, field library, published reviews, Aaron's field notes.
Responses are constructed from what the rulebook actually says. Sources cited. No made-up brand recommendations. No 'as an AI language model'.
Every answer links back to the source module, standard, or review — so you can read the full context, not just the summary.
When the knowledge base doesn't cover something, the assistant says so. Better a clean 'not covered' than a plausible-sounding hallucination.
Principles
The scope is deliberate and narrow — BreakState methodology, modules, reviews, and field notes. Not the open web. Not Wikipedia. Not Reddit.
Every substantive claim links to its source in the knowledge base. If a source doesn't exist, the assistant doesn't answer.
This is a reference tool for people who already think for themselves. It sharpens the decision. It doesn't make the decision.
Your conversations are yours. Not used to train models. Not stored beyond your session unless you save them to your review file.
Method first. AI assisted. Human trusted.
Every BreakState feature is built to sharpen your judgment, not replace it. When this one ships, we’ll let you know.
